The properties will stay as long as they remain on NTFS file systems. If you email the files or copy to a FAT32 file system they will lose their properties. This methodology is useful for using in intranet scenarios, copying around network drives etc.Rod Howarthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07098343984635127435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5096437112654914738.post-910255176202208702010-12-29T09:31:10.779+10:002010-12-29T09:31:10.779+10:00This methodology does not always work.

The first time the code runs fine, and the second time I get an exception because the property exists. This is behaviour as expected. However, when I look at the properties of the file and go to the "custom" tab, it does not list the property.
Any idea why?

thanks in advance
JeroenUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14438948590157186345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5096437112654914738.post-32827551247901785562009-09-13T06:56:52.924+10:002009-09-13T06:56:52.924+10:00I have a similar application...I have used the sam...I have a similar application...I have used the same code/logic...the program runs successfully...however I am not able to see the custom properties when I right click the pdf document....can you please help....
If I try to add the properties again to the same document I am getting error saying that the item already exists meaning that the property got added last time....but how to view this property???Mitalinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5096437112654914738.post-47559910432983679672009-02-04T11:34:00.000+10:002009-02-04T11:34:00.000+10:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5096437112654914738.post-66822452827392537322008-12-07T01:04:00.000+10:002008-12-07T01:04:00.000+10:00I have quite a few image files from cameras and sc...I have quite a few image files from cameras and scanners that are not OLE files.
